SERVICES
Money Advice Unit The Unit, consisting of one full time worker, takes referrals mainly from the CAB for clients with money problems, e.g. rent and mortgage arrears, bank loans, credit cards and consumer debts The adviser will help clients to get their finances in order, look to maximises their income and negotiate with their creditors. There is also a telephone Debt Advice line for four hours a week.

Legal Aid Franchise in Debt and Welfare Rights
The grant enables the CAB to provide six days of expert welfare rights advice, including tribunal representation, and a two days of debt advice to legally aidable clients.

Debt Advice Project,
funded by various departments of the Local Authority ­ council tax, housing management, housing benefit overpayments. This consists of one full time worker dealing with clients who have debts to the local authority (rent and council tax), maximising income, preparing financial statements and negotiating with the local authority over the debt repayment.
